Greetings!
When I had our first child I looked at several different options for creating her birth announcement. I didn't like the cards that I found in the stores and didn't have the time to scrapbook the quantity of cards I would need. I decided to make my own card that would reflect our style and be a card that I would be proud of giving out. Once I started designing the announcement I realized how much I enjoyed the process and soon realized that I created eight different announcements. It can be so hard to choose just one! A year and a half later ( Summer 2009) Dolcetto Designs was born.
After several years of teaching Elementary school, I am now home with our little girl and boy. I feel so blessed to be able to work at home doing something that I really enjoy. I believe that everyone should be able to have beautiful birth announcements, invitations, thank you cards, holiday cards, etc, regardless of the individual budget. Therefore, we seek to provide beautiful products with great customer service at affordable prices.
What's in a name? Coming up with a business name was a difficult task. I wanted something unique, meaningful and classy. Dolcetto is an Italian grape variety not commonly grown anymore, the word also means little sweet one. My husband has recently completed his education to become a professional wine maker. With this in mind, Dolcetto Designs (& Photography) seemed like a great choice for our custom photo card business.
With a love for photography and design, as well as a need for quality photos to use on my card designs, I ventured into the world of photography. I consider myself an amateur photographer with a passion for pictures. I would be thrilled to work with you to help capture some of your life's special moments! I am located in Thorold, Ontario but am available throughout the Niagara area.
